Effort, enthusiasm and desire and the words that best define our beginnings. We started in 1989 making 3500 bottles of vintage wines using an old family vineyard and also grapes from friendly winemakers from the area. Wine was prepared in tubs from Roa’s Regional Cooperative, storing Crianzas and Reservas for aging in small deposits, in a handcrafted way.
Our winery started growing significantly in 1994, when we purchased our first bottling plant. From then, we grew significantly until today, when we have just extended our facilities and use 600 barrels of American and French oak that we renew every 4 years, in order to produce 450000 bottles on average every year.
We are very proud of what we have achieved, and our only goal is to make our products available to you and invite you into our family.
Bodegas Lambuena is a small, family owned winery, close and committed to our products.
Pedro Cabestrero, our chief oenologist, trained in Burgos, Madrid and France, where he found his calling and decided to devote his life to wine.
His sister Ana, also an oenologist, takes part in the winemaking process and devotes a big part of her time to the study of her discipline in other wineries, producing other kinds of wine and contributing her knowledge in the production of our wines.
The third brother, Andrés, is a master when it comes to the knowledge of the countryside, the soil and our vines, and manages the viticulture process.
